![]() However, they have nothing special in temples, but they still get access to the lucrative Middle East region. Also, unlike Kush, Nabatae has the equivalent of Thorax Pikemen. And they get a copy of the Syrian Heavy Archers in their Nabatean Heavy Archers (in fact, Nabatae's have better melee attack for only 20 extra gold). Their top-tier cavalry (which is inches shy of Azat Knights) is only 800, while the Azat Knights are a solid 1200 (1300 if you use Hellenic Cataphract). Their cavalry unit recruitment costs are a fraction of the Seleucids. I also mention Nabatae for one crucial reason. Your only real danger is Egypt, but Egypt starts really slow and is very easy to destroy initially. Kush also gets good access to pretty much the same area as the Seleucids, but you only have one front to attack, unlike the Seleucids who are surrounded. Kush is just a bit cheaper, but has more melee attack, at the slight expense of armor.Įven better, Kush has Temples of Horus which have a very useful recruitment cost reduction, meaning you can push out more elite armies with less strain on your treasury (or even no strain, if you set up your military province right), while Seleucids only have a morale temple. Cavalry, however, is pretty much an even split at the top-tier level. Also, Kush only has the equivalent of the Seleucids regular Pikemen (and the gap is even further because Seleucids have excellent traditions/general skills for Pikemen). Think we missed one?
